Botulinum toxin A has been used for many years to treat muscle spasms and other conditions. It is also successful in reducing the appearance of wrinkles formed by muscle action.

 

Ageing is associated with wrinkles and lines on the face that may have developed by the action of muscles on the skin.

 

Injection into certain facial muscles will reduce their ability to contract and consequently soften the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Excellent results have been obtained by injection into the forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet.

Botulinum toxin A can also reduce the amount of gum on display when you smile and smoothen the appearance of an "orange peel" chin.

 

Results are visible within 7-14 days but may take up to 21 days. Effects can last 3-4 months when treatments can be repeated.
